Would you mind sharing your recipe for the blonde beards?
At least on those pictures they look pretty good, and I know you are into speed painting which tells me the technique is probably pretty quick. :)

It's Vallejo opaque yellow. It's from their game color line and opaque is the name of the series I don't know if there's a sub name for the yellow off hand.

After that it just gets hit with the same black-wash as the rest of the miniature
 
Good work... that was pretty damn quick. You painted those 12 guys in less time than it took me to paint a single hound.

I think you should give the faces a bit more detail. A wash + a highlight would really help make the models pop and the face is usually the first area of a model to which the eye is drawn to.
Unfortunately they don't have a hell of a lot of facial detail. I will try on the next batch
