More like shooting yourself in the foot. You don't bait someone in chess by laying your king down.

I could not have written a more poorly constructed sentence if I tried. By my estimation that "talent" is innate and likely beyond your conscious control. :cool:

If by "laying a trap" you mean inadvertently forfeiting and utterly surrendering your side of the argument, then I fully acknowledge your expertise.

You know things have truly veered off topic when @Lord-Marcus is attempting to put it back on course (or when I attempt to do so) :p. However, I believe your judgement is sound. This diversion has run its course. I defer to your wisdom (this time!).

This was a fun competition and I hope to return and enter more!

I loved the concept Canas did, and wish I had a more altered model myself. I'm now working on one that will require a bit of green stuff due to inspiration.

The red, blue and gold went so well with Grdemon's. I think I'll post the same miniature I painted a few years ago on my blog before too long. Definitely not as clean and dashing as yours!

Hojdar's the mad slaan looks great. I like how bright and defined he is. I find some of those colors get clumpy for me.

Killer angel's tenihuini is a neat model I wasn't aware of until now! I like his unique skin color and those freehand looking triangles on his bag!

Teve's skink priest is well done. I notice on your model a similar problem I had a while back. Yellow feathers getting a green tinge is a pain! I think you did a good job with skin color highlights and varying those blues.

Croco' skull skink... is mine! ;)
 
By the way, seeing as you're planning on making this a recurring thing, may I suggest listing a couple of the theme's ahead of time for the next ones. Might help with planning what to paint when for those interested.
