More people would be interested in Physics if Schröedinger had used Bacon rather than a Cat.

Unfortunately, bacon doesn't have the emotional appeal of the cat

So that just happened.

I work with a group of women (literally me and 3 females on the team.)

I thought everything was fine, even if they had gotten a bit cliquey over the last few months. I've asked the one team member about the other two when they've exhibited odd behavior in the past. I thought we had a good rapport.

Cut to today. Other two are not at work. Third (one who I thought I had rapport with) randomly goes and stands in woman 1's cube for ten minutes.

I send her an IM after she heads back to her desk:

"Out of curiosity, why were you at M's desk?"

She responds with asking me if I'm here supervisor (I'm not) and tells me to not ask her about non-work related matters again or she will "send manager this IM and others from you I have saved."


Was I rude? No. Was I responding to extremely unusual behavior? Yes.
