We used to joke around that the Tzeentch Chaos Lord had a special rule: "Immune to Warhammer".

Can't go wrong with Tzeentch sword and board warriors or Nurgle halberd warriors. Both are pretty stellar and come out of the CORE tax.

What do you mean? Do you mean in what edition?

Two more reasons to support my argument that Chaos Warriors are broken beyond belief - the Warriors of Chaos’ mainstream core unit is so OP that the Chosen, the proper elite infantry of the army, became redundant because of it. Wargames armies are not supposed to be broken - they’re supposed to be balanced.

I mean which author first gave Warriors of Chaos the rules they have now, I.e. the author who wrote the first army book in which Chaos Warriors became this strong. I’m wondering if this chap actually played Warriors of Chaos.

Warriors are a great unit, but they are not the reason why WoC as an army are OP. Like all infantry, they are still very slow on the battlefield and in addition WoC have virtually no shooting. There are a lot more dangerous WoC units out there.

Shooting is important, but vampire counts are an army without ranged weaponry and still are very powerful... even without considering things as a blender Lord

WoC are indeed powerful despite the lack of shooting. My point was that since WoC have no shooting (outside of a hellcannon) they have to engage the enemy as quickly as possible (since they are losing the battle until they do). As a result, the movement 4 of the warriors is a limiting effect. All infantry suffer from this to one degree or another, but a little bit more so with warriors. That said, they are still an amazing unit, it's simply that other things in the army book should be more feared.

So it begins again...
