Yes, the plan is to make a few moulds so I can build them in bulk. I'm a little worried that the normal saurus arms and legs are going to look too skinny on these, in which case I might need to make new ones, which will make the assembly time considerably longer... ideally I'd also like them to look like they're running instead of standing still...

I'm experimenting with making moulds for the first time ever, in the hope I can just make the four variations above and then make copies of them. I've tried greenstuff moulds but the resolution isn't great, so I've ordered a few different alternatives to give them a shot...

I would be interested in what steps you are taking to make these guys, as in what molds/materials!

If the regular saurus bodies are too small, maybe temple guard ones instead?

Lol. It certainly seems to come highly recommended on Amazon...

So far I've tried liquid blue-stuff, which was a nightmare, and some greenstuff moulds, which gave better results but lost too much resolution and was kind of fiddly. I've ordered this from greenstuff world, because it looks like it gives good results with an acceptable loss of resolution: http://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/reusable-blue-stuff/8-blue-stuff-mold-8-bars.html

If anyone has tips on moulding I'd love to hear them!
 
I tried it and it's really simple. Put hot water* in a bowl, add cold water in a second. Let the mass heaten in the warm water, it gets clay-ish so you can knead it. Press the positive in the mass, and give it in the cold water to cool down. Wait ~1 minute and then remove the positive from the finished mould. That's how I did it.
* doesn't need to be boiling, your fingers will appreciate it...

This is good to know! Thanks guys. Is Oyumaru the same thing as blue stuff? Green stuff world seems to take forever to deliver so I'd appreciate alternative sources
