Well then , i finally managed to give the Old blood from the carnossaur some love ,and wanted to share the progress so far with you guys. would love to see your opinions , im loving how its turning out some washes probably were still drying when i took the photos , still has some more work to do , i'm considering darkening the top most scales a bit but leave the skin where there is no scales as is. So far from what i got done.. im loving the blade and quite happy with the glove aswell , i wanted to give a lit up feel on the inside of the hand, think its reaching that point , highlights will help it aswell i think. Without much more chitchatting here is he, As allways , hope you all have a good time and ill be sure to show some more progress once i manage to do so !
Really fantastic work on that weapon. I realized looking at your excellent painted version that the blade piece would look great in a necron or even an iron hand conversion.
I like him! I think you're right to highlight the inside of his extended gauntlet hand. And I think it'd be a good idea to use the same color scheme as you did on your throne, on his armor, with the blue background.
I love this weapon and how it turned out , i did only a little change to it.. but i think it benefited a bit lol i added a bit of yellow glaze to the recesses in it and i really like the result its subtle but enough to be there. I think it would look amazing in necrons even thou i don't play 40k eheh I really like the idea that the hand is "lit" up and there's some sort of power comming out of it , i wanted both weapons to look almost enchanted , ence the color changes on them, about the armor... i see where u are going but i wanted him to not look part of the seat so i did something else , i've given a little bit of blue wash on the recesses of the armor just to darken it up a bit to contrast with the highlight. And yes.. i think i can say , he's complete now.. i was just going to do some more washes and some highlights but ended up getting it preety much 99% complete , only think im missing now is painting the reins and then glue the whole piece together and make the preety looking tuft base for him For now i will leave some pictures of him , (sorry light quality isnt the best!) That's all for now folks! ill post again once i have it all complete and ill try and take some better quality photos during the day ! Have a great time !
Aw boy! Look what just came in my doorstep , some poor cold lizzards needing a family... how could i say no right???
Wow, the Oldblood looks great, I love the grey with the blue tint. Great colour scheme! And I am happy for those poor wee lizards arriving at your doorstep.
Well then .. it definately took its time.. i gotta admit.. i'm loving it thou.. it was about 50 hours work into it but i just love it! Might not be the best but i gotta say im preety proud of the finished result! I finally got some time to get working on the base of the carno and fully assemble it! Ill start by some pictures arround the carno Now For Some Closeups ! Closeup of the base (Yess im a tuft addict and i'm proud ! ) That's all for now folks ! I will be back with more as soon as i get some more material assembled and ready to go ! Hope you like it and have a great time! Comments are allways apreciated !
Wow... very nice work. That base is amazing!!! You should do a tutorial on how to create such wonderful bases.
Good! I like the contrasting blue on oldbloods throne with the gold. What colours did you use? I haven’t painted mine yet!
Very nice, I love the base but I think you could do with adding another spot colour on the Carny, maybe on the spine tips a extreme highlight. A small niggle but he does look great
Thank you all for the comments on the model and the base, About the highlights i see where you trying to get but i kinda like the more subtle highlights on the scales i might go back to it later. Its been some busy days lately and i have started messing with greenstuff in the meanwhile. I had an old fel bat metalic model that had lost part of the body and the head.. and i was doing an experiment with green stuff and had a bit left, so i decided to mess with that model.. well... to this day i still laugh everytime i look at the end result... Meet BOGRE! Well , that was something! I have also found an old saurus that had a broken leg... so... i kinda went and cut both legs and i ended up creating a saurus djin! But... i couldnt leave the poor thing like that.. so the saurus djin asked for a wish... to ascend to a greater beast ! To be a protector of my army's slaan, to be ... An ETERNITY WARDEN! Amd his wish started to turn real! First his arms grew stronger! Then his legs! And then an explosion of starlight took place, a mist of star fragments took over the sky and out of it... he had ascended! Siting glourious and proud at the top of a rock wielding his new weapon! Hope you like it, i dint take many more pictures , was a fun Project, and the first conversion ever i made! Might not be perfect but i love it already! Have a great time and as allways, comments are apreciated!
