Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - September 2018

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

I will try to finish some "ongoing projects":
Lord Kroak
Cold one rider (only 1 to finish)
Salamander's skinks
Skinks (about x20)
Orc Warboss on Wyvern
Dwarf hammerers (x20) (Avatars of War)

And start AND finish:
Grom the Paunch
Norse warband (commission)
Dwarf Slayers (x20) (Avatars of War)

Game ON!
 
Finish creating my Bastiladon conversion.
Start my eternity warden to snake conversion.
Start my 2x skink priest conversions.
Consider creating razordons x4

Then paint them all!
 
I forgot to tag my advancements for August. To be simple i did everything i said :D

But September will be a busy month so i keep it short :
  • To start painting my undead Wyvern, i don't think i'll be able to do it full.
  • To translate a 14th chapter of my stories in english
 
My biggest project for this month is to paint a unit of Saurus Warriors with hand weapons (yes, I’m actually making and painting some new Lizardmen - the main reason why my blog hasn’t featured any in the past is because the large majority of my Lizardman army was completed before I joined the forum). I’m unsure how long this will take, but I’ll let you all know about my progress - I’ve already built two with spears to join my existing spear unit and started making the Spawn Leader for my new unit with hand weapons and shields.

I’ve just come up with a new paint scheme for my lizardfolk - it looks good and is super super easy to do ;D should be able to hash out a whole unit in about 2hrs :) - up until now I’ve managed never to actually paint any units of skink/saurus because I simply couldn’t be bothered lol
 
My objective:

Finish current 2 commission's on slate.

Use money to buy more storage solutions. Possibly. Also possible I just put it in savings, but I digress

Paint freeguild, more stormcast, and undead and lizards.
 
Working on a gang of 3 terradons, 9 chameleons, finish touch up on steggo and carno, also put back together or convert a bunch of skinks that my dog ate :( humpty dumpty style. Haven't played since '99 I was 13. Miss my lizards
 
I started putting some paint on my Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur, but I messed up a little bit, so it is taking a bath at the moment. So my goal for this month is to get it stripped, primed and then have a go at it again! It is a learning process, but I'll get there eventually, as I learn from my mistakes.
 
Built some guardsmen.
