Thanks. That makes much more sense now. Didja know there is some obscure bloke mentioned in 2nd Chronicles, Chapter 31, Verse 15, named “Miniamin”? Two days ago I didn’t know that...

It all makes sense except chariots. Seriously. According to the rest of your rules the various components of a chariot would count higher if considered separately.

Two 24x50 cavalry Critters (2 each; Total 4)?
Two infantry crew (1 each; Total 2)?
Wheeled Vehicle... ...at least 1 more?

Why not 7?

The system overall makes sense. :writing: ***takes notes***

Cavalry is 2 because

1 rider
1 horse

Hence horses on the chariot count for 2

Pardon, my fat fingers misstyped. "Miniature equivalency" is what that should say.

Rules:

Standard infantry count as one for painting

Cavalry count as two for painting

ogre sized models count as two for painting

Monsters count as anywhere between 3-10, depending on size (see below)

Chariots count as 5 for painting

APC transports count as 5

Battle Tanks count as 5

Fliers/aircraft count as 5-10 depending on size (see below)

Larger models determined on a case by case basis

McDougall designs bases do not count for painting but are recorded for posterity

Primaris Marines count as ogre sized
Does painting terrain count for anything?

No, because those are not part of your armies.

Unless it's something like a herdstone, in which case I would on-the-fly the number.

To be honest I have not painted much terrain

I obtained a herdstone yesterday.

Seems a lot of people are doing this on Facebook Social Media too. I assume that this is a normal November thing... or maybe not. Maybe it is new.

In any case, the motivation is great. I know that I have been painting Historicals like made since the 1st this month, and its a great idea. Keep it up everyone! I do like to see the work you all post here regarding Lizard men and the ancients!

Cool. I'd count it as 4 or 5, depending on how complex you go when painting it. Did you see my earlier post explaining my score for chariots?
I did.

You were counting a wolf and the thing (goblin lancer) on top as two: if Cavalry.

You were counting a wolf and the thing (harness gear) on top as one: if Chariot.

Wait...!...I didn’t buy one of these:

...I found a nice herdstone shaped rock laying on the ground. I forgot they had gotten into the business of selling rocks!

Sure, you can build a herdstone yourself, it isn't even hard.

...but the GW one _does_ look really cool IMO.

The chains are a puzzlement. Captured dwarf work..?

Doing a lot of assembling and basecoating of Lizardmen models I have built up alongside tackling these pesky 40 Clanrats and also maybe procrastinating a bit on the Clanrats by painting Gor-Rok (Saurus Sunblood).

That's my November!

Finished my Bloodstoker. Now to finish some Bloodreavers. Painting Chafe is where my armies go to die.

Are Chafe units only worth .5 painting points per model?

Marauders, Bloodreavers, weak-small linemen, ect.

Tonight is getting shit done night.

Finish small order
Post up weekly Reddit thread for business
Finish painting azyrite troops
Paint steel legion
Work on spreadsheet

Finishing stuff is something magical.
You bathe in the glory of your deeds and contemplate the future....
