Gallery Skink Skirmishers

So I had a load of blowpipe-and-club-armed skinks, I wanted to give them shields instead of clubs, but the original sprues were long discarded and finding enough replacements was going to be time-consuming and expensive. Courtesy of https://wargamesfoundry.com I've been able to improvise (and if you ask me it's an improvement on the original shields):

Indeed. Great kitbash... or brandbash... conversion... guess it's also more suitable for their weaponry than the smalĺ buckler like originals...

I'm looking for more ways to distinguish him from the rest of the unit, and a different frill colour is something I'll likely be trying!

Ended up ordering 24 shields like yours, I also popped 4 pumas into the mix:
Im going to be doing a jaguar skin pattern on the shields:

Fantastic idea, looking forward to seeing how the animal skin turns out, that should be an interesting concept.

Edit: if you want to go a step further,sculpt some Jaguar pelt cloaks out of green stuff and use them on unit leaders/heroes.
