Also, it was chips implanted in the Clone Trooper’s brains that caused them to carry out Order 66, not any nonsense about the Jedi not caring

And don't forget the source material for L3, Solo, the biggest failure in the history of Star Wars (outside of the Holiday special of course).

I think you missed the entire meaning of the conversation. Who proposed that the Clones complied with order 66 due to the Jedi not caring? Rather the Jedi becoming complacent and not recognizing the massive threat the clones posed is what left them so open and unprepared for the clone betrayal.

I am curious though, if you only feel that the movie is "okay", then what motivates you to continually leap to its defense?

 

I guess that is where we differ. I see no point in defending something that I don't really care for (i.e. it's okay). I will however adamantly defend things that are meaningful and significant to me.

As for some people (i.e. roughly half the fan base) constantly saying it is bad, that is indicative of a problem. The movie is bad because it created such a backlash from the community. I just can't rate a movie as okay when it garnered such a poor reaction. I do feel there are some good things about, namely the cinematography is spectacular and the music is great, however, they really missed the mark on story and character development. So I guess it comes down to what a person is looking for in a movie.
