Yeah, clanrats are also in groups of 20 but they are still limited to 40 per unit. Hmmm... I think Grots are actually the only ones that can have 60 in a unit.
I have thought about joining the FireLance Starhost Battalions to my army, but after reading this thread I have doubts. The question is... Saurus Knights, do they work? If so, how should you play with them?
They work. Imagine them as skinks that can do more than scratch the paint on your opponent's armour. So use them to grab objectives & screen your forces like you do with skinks, but unlike skinks you can also use them to actually contest an objective or kill a minor hero. If you can manage to support them with a scar vet on cold one they can even become a threat against tougher targets. Just don't expect them to reliable win fights against proper doomstars or other scary things.
Agree with @Canas They got cheaper and they have their uses. Firelance works best inside a Dracothion's Tail super-bataillion though.
I got it. I currently own16 Knights. I was thinking of buying with 10 more (26 in total) One of them to build a Scar-Veteran in Cold one. The other 25 are for use in two different ways: a) 2 units out of 10, for general purpose. b) 1 unit of 10 and 2 of 5, to make the FireLance Starhost Battalion. Do you see it right? Are there too many?
10+5+5 is a good number for Firelance. But the knights box holds just 8 of them (stupid number). maybe you can find a block of just 5 of them on ebay...
