This is the second greatest D&D character ever! Surpassed only by this one.

I think the picture on the right might be related to this. The musical Cats is being made as a motion picture with A-list actors and singers. I could be wrong because I don't think the new Cats movie released their costuming or CGI yet.

Your meme creators were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

Nope, that’s some rodent. I can vaguely make out toes and fingers.

    Still probably edible

I said it was edible, not enjoyable. Simply owing to the high heat most disease and parasites should be dead, meaning it is consumable. However this is not guaranteed and rats are the most revolting creatures to exist, I would not recommend this. It would probably be best if the thing was thrown into a fire. As for the rest of the food: dispose of it to be safe. Of a rat was in that stuff that could mean the rest of the batch is contaminated and as always it is very possible that some contamination survived.
    So to conclude:
    Edible: yes
Worth it for the risk of disease?: hell no
Course of procedure: take everything in the box and burn it

In general mass produced foods are disgusting, especially meat. Very likely a rodent (most likely a rat) was moving through a facility as in general most food industry standards are mediocre, and with bad luck it fell in.

My grandmother grew up in the thirties and due to unique circumstances she had a harder time than many in an era defined by hard times. As a grown woman she HATED to waste food even if it was overcooked, past its prime or generally not good.

If I complained about something she served she would say "It's not poison."

There is a wide gap between "It is not poison" and "it is food." Edible is about the half way point between these extremes.

This meme disappoints me. I rarely eat fast food, but when I do it's frequenly Popeyes...

Probably not for a few months. Even without the treat of rats, I often have buyer's remorse when I buy fast food. I got a burrito at Pancheros and it did a number of by digestive system and Pacheros is supposed to be the higher quality end of fast food. Casual dining resteraunts are only slighly more expensive than fast food these days and I normally try to cook for myself to save money.

I usually rationalize eating fast food on long car trips. My favorite place to stop on car trips is Caseys, a franchise which utterly dominates Iowa but is not often seen in the rest of the United States. I can get reasonably good pizza or sandwiches at the same place I buy gas and the restrooms are always clean.

I got a friend who does more advance planning than I. When we went on a road trip once he looked up local one-of-kind greasy spoon diners and planned our stops around the highest rated restaurants. I should probably start copying that strategy.

To be fair we don't know if the story is true, it might just be a pic on the Internet (worst case: originating from a KFC associate or so).

Possibly. The reason some people believe MSG is really bad for you don't realize that the initial studies were sponsored by restaurant trends upset that Chinese food was taking their market shares.

I will point out that insect parts get into chocolate bars. Various gross animal parts and byproducts end up in industrialized canned foods. With the huge amount of food we eat every year, if there is a 0.01% something gross ends up in your food, you probably eat three or four of these gross things a year.

Localized organic food isn't any better. An organic farmer once grew a cynaide potato. There is all sorts of gross things that can end up in your food.

Pandas do okay here. We eat bamboo. If we get a insect or rodent with our bamboo, that's just a bit of protein.

    I remember that one!

There also once was a case of a frog in a ice cream box but that one at least was confirmed to be sabotage.
