Army harmonisation is the future of table top gaming. Even if no one know's it yet. You bring up some valid points. What we really need, is a tool box for game designers to use to build their games with. That way software can be leveraged to crunch and test the entire gaming system. And designers can warmly tinker with the system to perfect their creations. Perfect, combines art with technology.
As I read through these and catch up on what i missed over the weekend, i realized I'm trying to decide if I picture you more as a used car salesman, or a Trump impersonator lol. UCS: this is the future, its even if every one else with more experience is telling me I'm just wrong. No no no you can trust me. here look at this sheet of facts I made up on the spot. don't worry I assure you its gonna work just fine... no don't worry about the manual that came with the car... those are just the recommendations of experts with over 30 years in the business.. slaves to the old way of thinking... *flashes gold tooth grin* you can trust me... its such a simple thing. TRUMP: its simple, so simple all we have to do is … I'm telling you its gonna be the best, its so simple even a child could do it, we take all the rules and throw them all out replace them with rules that I like, but only until I don't anymore then we can throw them out again... its gonna be 'Uuge, I just the only guy smart enough to know it. Trivial... yes trivial, here a I drew a picture it works I swear...
Right, I think that's it really. I need to put my money where my mouth is and have a go at doing this. I have to try to make it as small as possible, because I don't want to spend to much time doing it. I hate programming. Mainly I don't like all the middle class Tarquins who think because they followed Javascript tutorials on Youtube, they are genius. Old school engineers who did it before it was cool, were all odd ball's and weirdos. Nowadays, its all people who should be working as supermarket supervisor, following rigid paradigms thinking that is what engineering is about, oh yea and they are super geniuses as well. I am humble man, I just see a problem that would be fun to try and solve and have a go. No big deal, anybody could do it. As for you, you need to know your rigid philosophy of only someone who has achieved certain rank is allowed to do things, is wrong. Anybody can do anything they want. They might not be successful, but a lot of time, let me tell you this, a lot of the time, things you take for granted in life, were probably not made by your hero's like Justin Beiber or Rhianna. They were probably made by some completely unknown person you never heard of. Your cock sure "I know whats possible" thing, only works for you.
Yes, for my abilities, I am a humble man. If i was a supermarket supervisor masquerading as a Javascript developer, I indeed would be an ego maniac to make my claims. Remember you are just making this better for me, when I turn round and unveil the Army Harmoniser and it blow everybody's balls off. You got your plate ready? Your knife and fork? I am about to serve you some humble pie my friend. --------- That aside, sadly it means I have to postpone updates to my sprawling epic "Sue and The Seraphons" and also my armies are sadly going to be sitting in my cupboard unpainted for the foreseeable future.
Ok going to pack all my miniatures away. Take the graphics card out of my computer. Going to do intense workout, get my mind focused on this. I will try to start tonight or tommorow. This is pretty exciting stuff really. I never thought that I would make board gaming history. It never crossed my mind in my life. I didn't know it was something that I actually wanted to do even. Must be quite something for young Greeny to witness a programming shaggoth in the wild. Actually I would prefer be him, and get to watch in awe at my bedazzling talent. For me there is no mystery, I know what I'm doing.
Are you making a program that specifically balances Age of Sigmar armies with points disparity, or are you making an all new rule set generator that will assign stats to units based on the number of units on the battlefield? I noticed that you mentioned dropping command abilities that are hard to measure points-wise, so I am left with the impression that you will essentially be assigning points costs to base stats and then adding a multiplier to account for the number of units/models a player has. Is that a correct impression? If so, I’m not sure that is novel software, that would basically be... any board game simulator in existence. regardless, I look forward to seeing the Army Harmonizer! I work on the machine learning platform for a major bank, so I’m eager to see how you apply ML to this seemingly-simple project
Ok mate glad you found your trumpet ok. It’s good you look forward to the army harmoniser tho. Trust me you can bank on it.
Also if you do ML that means your a data scientist? Your not a programmer? Its not seemingly simple. It is simple, I have developed games before my friend. Relax I know what I am doing here. Its all under control. No need for you to worry about anything. I get why you would think its hard if your a data scientist programming wonky Python in el dorrado banque. But as I said, I want you to relax, its all under control. I just want you to be excited for the army harmoniser, and know that its on the way.
you know the mods are keeping us in check right now, but you really need to stop insulting every one that disagrees with you.
you really shouldn't go after @Dan32234234234324... he's proven his ability with programming and is the author of the pinned cheat sheet. hell if anything id ask for his help to save you from the hole you dug yourself into with your boasting
Look, Dan is probably a nice guy, but he is no big deal I am afraid. I don't care about Dan or Greeny and what they are telling me they don't know how to do. That's nice for them. But they need to keep their opinions to themselves really. Its like me, maybe one day you fly a helicopter that will go to the moon. I am not going to sit here and say you can't do it or laugh smugly at you. Maybe you can. That's not for me to say. The only funny thing is how you really think I can't do it. You know it so bad, and it makes you angry. And I am sitting here laughing knowing I have already done this before. For me this is going to be as easy as eating pie my friend.
but your opinions are perfectly fine to throw around every forum? also... do you know anything about helicopters? literally impossible to fly without air lmao....*SMH*
