    Hey guys!

Thanks for the great comments :) really appreciate it!

I have finally finished my saurus warriors. I tried going for some aztec ruins/jungle vibe for the bases.

I used an aztec texture rolling pin on polimer clay to make an aztec stone that I broke up to make ruins.

I glued them on bases, added texture by mixing paint, pva glue, sand, tea and cooking herbs.

I painted the whole thing whih gave me this:

    Final-7.jpg

with that done, I made some vines with strings, and leafs with coffee filters and leaf punches.
I sort of decided where each warriors would place on their bases so I could place the vines without bothering the saurus' feets.
After that I glued the warriors on and glued some leafs from aquarium plastic plants, and voila!

    Final-1.jpg Final-2.jpg Final-3.jpg Final-4.jpg Final-5.jpg Final-6.jpg Final-8.jpg

The next step will be the knights, but I' think I'm gonna take a small break first ^_^

    Enjoy

I do the jade weapons on my seraphon stuff as well, but the way you do it looks so much better. Imma steal how you do it going forward.
I’m wondering where you got your roller for the Aztec patterns, a cursory google search points me towards greenstuffworld, is that it? I may have to pick up one for myself seeing how well yours came out.

Hi guys! Long time no see.

After a break and a cross country move I'm finally getting back to my army! (new battletome is hyping me up as well ngl)

So I've started work on my saurus knights, doing my usual saurus conversion of shaving the sides, slightly longer necks and the "adam apple" thingy under them. Finally add the "smile" and sculpt scales on the side.

I'm using Draskespawns as mounts, and have started modding one to get a feel for what I want:

And that's about it for now :)

    Hi guys!

little update from quarantine. I painted the riders while in the process of converting the drakespawns to cold ones. I really like the look of them. Just have to paint the banner now.

    Hey Guys!

finished converting my drakespawns to cold ones, currently trying to decide on a color scheme for them. I think I prefer the purple and the blue, any thoughts?

I've a slight preference for the "classic" red one, but also the purple is a solid choice. The blue is kinda meh

I think if I had to pick I would go with the blue one. For me personally, I feel like it would make the shadings and sculpt of the scales stick out a lot more than the red, also I think it goes with the rider's scale colour a lot more passively

The purple one is also good, especially when considering the riders shield and its similarities to the blue one.

I would say Red or Purple.
Purple being the more calm, harmonious color. And Red the more fiery, distinctive color.

Good luck picking(with al those mixed reactions ;) )

    Hey guys!

In the end I decided to go for the blue one. I've finished choosing the colors and painted that one model to a standard I'm happy with. Here are some pics:
