    Thank you :)
I ended up drybrushing the scales with a 1:1 mix of khaki and crimson. Came out with a nice subtle highlight.

Finished the horns on the head this morning. Still got to do all the ones on the body though. Too many little horns on this guy haha.

Still slowly working on the details on this beast. Does anyone bother painting the eyes on Stegadons?

All non-gold details on the beast finished ready for its spray of matte varnish. Gold details to be painted on after that.

Oh wow, that is a gorgeous Stegadon. The highlights and the dept it displays is really well done. I’m pretty excited to see how the howdah turns out

    I agree. That's a beauty of a Stegadon so far, @Explodingzeb.

The howdah is coming along, mostly just got the metallics left to do.
I'm conflicted though, I've painted the floor glyphs one set of colours and the side triangles another set. I like both colour pairings but I'm not sure if it works having both on there or if I should commit to one. What are your opinions?

Making some progress on the gold bits and various parts of the howdah. Crew have all been primed now too.

    Very nice:artist:

I love the Magenta and Green tones
Also the subtile use of gold in the stone.

Love to see the end result.
    Keep up the good work.

Looks cool. The dark background makes the gold really stand out.

The Stegadon is starting to come together now. Only missing the crew and banner tops, both of which are still WIP.

Thank you, I'm so happy they came out well. It was my first time trying out the classic gem technique.

Wow, that's an awesome looking Stegadon! Any plans on the base right now?

Also, I've spotted some wip snakes in your pictures (page one of this Paint Log). How have they turned out? I'm trying to sculpt a snake for base decoration right now, so any input on that would be great.

Thank you! I'm planning for a swampy base similar to my Saurus bases, probably with a stream across the middle.

I sculpted the snakes ages ago out of leftover milliput and greenstuff, unfortunately I haven't done anything with them yet. All I did was roll them out with slightly pointed ends and then use sculpting tools or fingers to wrap or bend them into the desired shape. Sorry I can't be more help.

Nice! Looking forward to see it!
I see. I was looking for tips on wether to sculpt scales or not. But I guess I won't sculpt scales because the snake is so tiny.
