I'm just wanting to clarify whether or not it's legal for two opposing armies to take the same endless spells? For example, if I take a bound Purple Sun, can my opponent take the regular Purple Sun? Can you have two opposing wizards on Balewind Vortexes? I've heard conflicting reports on this, and I don't own the Malign Sorcery rulebook and I don't recall seeing anything on this in the new GHB other than the new 3 spell limit.
I dont have the book on me atm but in the GHB (I believe) it specifices something along the lines of "A player cant take the same endless spell more than once for their army". It is a per army/player restriction, so there is nothing stopping both Kroaks from hopping onto their own Balewind Vortex in a mirror match.
so, but how about a doubles match. Is de army of one side considered one army and therefor can not use the same Endless spell in their lists? Grrr, Imrahil
It would depend on how you treat your friend's army when you play. Some doubles have one army as the "main army" and the other army is considered allies for all intends and purposes, so its technically still 1 big army but you only generate 1 CP per turn which is shared between you etc.
