If the Oracle had access to the slann lore as well how much stronger would that make him? Just thinking if he could cast the +1 to casting spell on kroak that would be nice but would that justify the cost maybe?
He would need the Slann keyword in that case. Even if he did, it might help a little, but no CA = no synergies.
I think that giving him a CA or the Skink Priest's prayer and an extra spell cast per round would make him really useable. Then he could buff a unit and cast two spells while also channeling for a Slann or Kroak if needed. It would also make him viable without a Slann, because at least he could get Comet's Call and another buff spell off, making him a viable support mounted wizard that could do a little bit of damage in combat.
I like this. Prayers could work too. Honestly, I wish GW would treat the Troggy more like an army center piece than a support hero. I love the dual monster/wizard role, but he seriously needs a little extra love to make him that model that makes us want to bring him instead of a Carno or a Slann, you know?
It is a shame, the model is awesome. But the trog has always been bad, even in warhammer fantasy when it was introduced 10~ years ago.
