I'd probably check out Coruscant because it is the most unique and different to what we have here on earth. That is assuming I have access to the nicer upper levels of Coruscant and not the shady underbelly. A planet wide metropolis, Jedi Temple, & Senate would be pretty cool. Seeing all the ships and crafts fly about would be interesting.

Naboo is a good choice too. It's one of the nicest settings in Star Wars.

Looking this over. It occurred to me that the Star Wars galaxy is not a particularly nice place to viist.

To answer your question. It's Palpatine's home planet. That is what is not to like.

That doesn't necessarily mean that you are wrong about it being the best place to visit on the list. Palpatine never really looked back on his home planet or did anything especially villainous there.

Coruscant and Correllia have nice places in them, but they also have huge not places in them. Naboo is about the only place where everywhere is nice (minus the planet core).

I will say that Padme is a celebrity on Naboo. That is the apex for how pretty the people are, not the baseline. Though I guess she does have a horde of serving girls who look very similar to her. Maybe she is representative of her planet's women.

That's the power of the dark side. I wouldn't have minded this Jar Jar (assuming his voice matched his outward appearance)

I would rather ride along on Voyager where access to the holodeck and replicators is limited.

The hostile frontier of Star Trek is nicer than most civilized places in Star Wars.

Does Star Wars have anything close to Risa? Risa is one of multiple Federation pleasure worlds.

Even a rugged Federation colony is nicer than modern day Earth (or Naboo).

Hypothetically, if this was a Star Trek tour, would anyone not choose Risa?

One of the dumb ass things of the Star Wars the High Republic is they clarified that Jedi can have all the sex they want...but only if it's casual. Meaningful monogamous relationships are forbidden.

    That is freaking ridiculous.

I'd rather go to the Q Continuum... for better or worse.

I wouldn't worry about it... that's not real Star Wars anyways!

This happens shortly after Gina Corano was fired. Just when I think woke cancel culture has reached the absolute low, someone tosses them a shovel.

I read the novel version of the original trilogy. There was very little different between the movies and the novels, but Return of the Jedi but there were some differences. They were written before the prequel movies were even conceived, but in the novelization Luke was able to absorb Force Lightning...once.

    Paraphrasing of course.

Basically after the first zap Luke thought to himself "If this lightning was Force generated, it can be Force deflected." Then he was able to harmlessly absorb the second zap.

At which the emperor was like, "Okay, I'm using both hands now." Then he overpowered Luke. But Luke didn't just lie there and take it. He was able to mitigate the damage he took slightly.

I don't know if this was written before or after the West End Star Wars games was written. I was furious when a high school ex-friend borrowed my Star Wars RPG books then said his mom threw away all his (and my) gaming books.

In any event, the Force Power called "Absorb Energy" is the same power one would use to absorb Force Lightning and that Darth Vader used to absorb Han's blaster bolts in Empire Strikes Back.

Fun fact, it very binary. If you beat the target difficult, you take zero damage. If you miss the target difficulty by 1 point, you take full damage. You either stop the attack completely or suffer the full effects.

The West End games people were very careful creating rules mechanics for Force Powers and statting out major characters.

There is a huge bonus to using Force powers on family members versus strangers. If you do the math, they made Palpatine stronger over Vader in the Force by just enough that Palpatine outclassed him in every Force category but Vader is still better at sensing Luke.
