Not going to lie, this loadout is a bit tricky to design, but I think this is a step in the right direction. Let me know what you think.

I don’t see any mention of snakes and swarms.
:shifty: Dissapointed. :meh:

I really think separate scrolls perhaps with different point values are in order. Titles:

Ark of Sotek on Bastilodon

Solar Engine on Bastilodon

Wild Bastilodon
.
The last ^ one just for completeness.

I wish we had another oldone contraption where you give a bastiladon a mist engine that emits mist of around its vacinity, helping with countering enemy range and maybe even giving our boys stalk

As much as I want to split warscrolls, I'm trying to not go too hogwild. I'm trying to view these from GWs perspective when making these. Also, summoning now os pretty consistent with 9" away from enemies.

Not sure of the wording on this one. "Pick up to the number of enemy units on the table." This makes it sound like you can attack everything board-wide? But I'm assuming you meant to pick one unit within 10" and either roll 5 dice or a number equal to the number of models in the unit?

Sorry looks like I wasnt fully clear there. It's meant to be within the range of 10". I think it would be a lot more attractive at 12 tbh

Well, they were Horned Ones, not regular Cold Ones, so they're supposed to be smarter so maybe they bonded better with the Skinks because of that. They even had official models:

Regiments of Renown are something I wish were still a thing, along with Red-Crested Skinks and Horned Ones for an elite cavalry option :)

Yes, Horned ones, sorry. They were called "skink cold one cavalry" in the 5th edition Lizardman army book and the name kind of stuck with me.

What if the Eternity Warden has a feature like this?

Eternal Defender: The presence of the slann imbues an Eternity Warden to shrug off blows that would fell a lesser being.
If this model is slain while within 3" of a SLANN, roll a dice. On a 4+ (maybe 5+?), the model is not slain and you can heal 1 wound allocated to it.

EDIT: Oops. Sorry, @LordBaconBane, I just reread the OP. I didn't intend to step on your designing toes.

No worries! Tell you what I'll make my version shortly and we can compare notes :) i have an idea or two for mine

BEHOLD!! My Troggy warscroll.

Changes include:
  • 3 attacks for acid shooting instead of D3
  • Rend on all Troglodon weapons
  • Removed rend for Oracle weapon
  • Drawn to the Screams now gives +1 to hit rolls with Trog attacks that targets the impacted unit
  • Venemous Spittle does mortals on hits of 6 instead of wounds on 6
  • 1 die roll, 4+ get a cmd point
  • New CA. Gives Jaw attacks mortals on wound of 6
  • New spell. Removed Comets Call, replaced with Pools of Noxious Poison. Roll a die, does mortals depending on what you get. It's worse then Comets Call but it means that if your Slann or Kroak is casting comets, the Troggy can cast this if you want
Points: 240~

Design Thoughts:

While I do appreciate the monster/wizard warscroll GW came up with, and it's overall not terrible, it doesn't really fit in with anything other than Dracothian Tail lists with Slann/Kroak spell extension. Also, the monster itself doesn't have rend and rather weak damage stats, so I tweaked those. With the better ranged attacks and the CA that gives jaw bonuses, you can now bring this bad boy in Coalesced to get bonuses to the extra Jaw attacks that are granted there.

On top of that, I felt giving Comets Call to the Oracle a bit odd, since it won't be able to cast the spell if the Slann does. So I replaced with something a bit weaker, but now you'll be able to use that (assuming you don't use any of the Lore spells). I based this spell off of Morathi's unique spell. Essentially, I envision pools of acid suddenly bursting from the ground, melting approaching enemies.

Concerns:
By replacing Comets Call, it loses a big spell that could be potentially used in a TL or Koatl's list if you didn't want to bring the Slann.
