And yes, I totally understand about the ranking up, just like with the Beasts of Nurgle. Have you tried magnetizing the bases and putting them on metal trays?

 

For the flies the rank issues are the wing spans, I have two of the six flies with the wings spread out further than is wise, but it just about works, and the legs tangling together and interlocking, making it tough to remove casualties.

Even just having the wooden movement tray has helped enormously over when I was playing the armies with no trays because once they are in they do stay in.

I ended up making my own Beasts of Nurgle out of milliput, spawn bits and Rot Fly spares. While the book art is totes sick, I really wanted a slimy slug that looked like a more larval Rot Fly (the classic metal model isn't too bad either but I don't like the new plastic that looks like Slimer) they are on the field in this game, but they were off fighting the Salamanders (which turned out to be an awful match up)

The purple to green blending on the spikes is what the Rot Flies need as part of their finishing touches for their leg claw thingies.

I went with 3 Daemon Plague Toads (Forgeworld) and 3 Rot Toads (from a guy on Ebay, don't remember the make)
