Hello all I am extremely new to AoS and I haven’t been able to play a 2k game yet and I stumbled on this site and was hoping for some advise. I have never built a full list before so any help would be extremely valuable. I currently have 2 start collecting Seraphon one with old blood and one with scar vet. 1 Stegadon with skink chief 2 regular stegadons 2 bastiladons 1 skink priest 1 skink starpriest 1 new lord kroak. 3 Kroxigors 5 chameleon skinks. I would like to include at least one Carnosaur even though I know they are not optimal but I really like them as models. any and all help would be greatly appreciated. thank you, Sif
Well you will need a third battleline unit even if you run the Thunder Lizard subfaction so I'd recommend picking up a box of skinks. Beyond that you could run something like: Kroak Priest Scar Vet carno Skink Chief on Steg 2 Stegs for battleline 2 bastilidons With the two Skink units I think that puts you at 1950 points. Take the prime warbeast command trait on the Skink Chief on steg, you won't be disappointed
I’m was not planning on using skinks if I can help it, I have 2 units of saurus knights from my start collectings that I can use.
Sounds like you have two Start Collecting Seraphon boxes. If that's the case you have three units of Saurus Knights. They field in units of five, and there are eight Knights in each box, right? I'm not sure if the included parts have enough bits for you to have a drummer and a banner in each of the three, though.
Yep! All command models (I think that's what they're called) are assumed to be armed with the same weaponry as the rest of the unit! (Unless the war scroll states otherwise, by the way, every model in a unit has to be identically armed--I think that's still the case in 3.0 anyway). (You probably knew that, but just in case.)
I did not know that so thank you, but all of my knights are armed with spears. I also did not know a unit of 5 could have both a banner and a drummer.
Yep! As of the latest war scroll, anyway, a unit of five may be made up of one Saurus Knight Alpha (which is pretty much any model you designate though for the unit I have I made some special additions and did a fancier paint job so I could tell him from the others), one Stardrake Icon Bearer and one Wardrummer, plus two standard Knights. That's my understanding anyway and I've got the Seraphon Battletome open in my lap as I type this!
interesting, currently I am needing help building my army list. I also have a converted skink priest as well
