The Loremasters sounds interesting to me, as having lore stuff i could listen too while driving or painting is an attractive idea.

This is by far the part i like more :D:

Everyone who subscribes to Warhammer+ can choose one of these models, and it’ll be shipped out to you around the 1-year anniversary of your subscription

Given that it's still in pre-order I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they are secretly treating it as made to order. I'm curious how long it'l still be available after the preorder period ends.

    New Orc monsters incoming!

First of all, who’ll be the first to try and convert this one into something for Lizardmen?

Not to be outdone, there’s one for Goblins too:

And there’s also going to be separate kits for the main Infantry for the Kruleboyz, plus potentially more for them and their Stormcast enemies. Exciting stuff!

And after that the next Battletome will be Chaos-oriented, so I’m betting Maggotkin because they have the oldest existing tome and are one of the worst armies in AoS right now

But the top monster itself is reptilian, a skilled converter could do some kitbashing to make a Lizardman themed saddle or howdah with Skinks or a Saurus hero on top

That feels like it would be a lot of work to successfully convert into a Lizardmen aesthetic. All the things hanging off of it and draped over it really ruins the Lizardmen feel of the model, IMHO.

Not impossible though, but very difficult.

and the jaw and the nails and the weird groin spikes. in general not very seraphony just because it has scales doesn't make it a dinosaur

Agreed. The aesthetic is completely off.

In my opinion, it would be easier to convert it into a Warriors of Chaos (Slaves to Darkness) army than into a Seraphon army. And even easier into a Skaven army as you suggested!

I have to say: the laboratorist years in me made me pick the new F 'n' S. The Erlenmeyer flask on the belly just won me over.

That's an even big box than I recall Warcry being. I bet there'll be a hefty price tag on that sucker. I'll probably wait and just buy the individual components I like as they come out (as they said in the preview they would). I love the terrain. I'm a Cadian loyalist so my Astra Militarum units are just the basic guys I guess, though, yes, those Death Korps models are very, very cool.

Love the new Ork models, particularly the plastic Deffkoptas, they were long overdue.

Shame to see there’s no sign of Tyranids yet, but given GW have said this is just the first wave of Octarius stuff, I imagine the Hive Fleets will arrive later to mop up the leftovers of the Imperial vs Ork mashup.

And it’s great to see Black Templars finally being given some recognition, @Warden will be overjoyed!

Despite the great joy I take in the Genestealer Cults (I just love they way they look and all their industrial models--though of course I just have a pile of them primed white--I think I have one painted up in the color scheme I like as a guide), I could never get into the Tyrannids. The models are cool enough (scary!) though I acknowledge that they could use a refresh. It's really just the lore. I know GW's intellectual properties on the 40K side, for all their protests to the contrary, are a flotsam and jetsam of bits from other science fiction and fantasy properties, but the "consumes all that comes before it" thing has just been done to death.
