For anyone here on Lustria which can be interested, on Carpe Noctem (the forum home of Vampire Counts and all undead things), after a hiatus of almost a couple of years, has finally returned their Painting Competition: "Turning the world to darkness" as we do in our story comp, there is a different theme each time, and the goal is to represent the theme or find ways to turn it to the ways of undead. The theme for this competition is "Resurrection", and entries are allowed 'til 12 september 2021! (linky link to the thread!) You are all open to interpret the topic as you will, so let your imagination roam free! It can be a simple zombie rising from the dirt, a big diorama of a twisted resurrection ritual, an act of boneshaping, a Necromancer casting Invocation...the possibilities are endless, and the interpretation doesn't even have to be so literal. You are also encouraged to use models or parts from whatever army you feel like, not restricted to undead only. It could be a single model or a whole unit of them, of all scales and sizes. Original models (sculpts) and conversions are allowed.
Nice. Can you link the results? I won’t be entering as A) I don’t have any undead to paint and B) I ‘ain’t anywhere near winning a contest!
Here you are. The winner piece was a classic Black coach In the meantime, there's another competition, started yesterday: "More beast than man".
New painting competition! given the time of the year... "Holiday Edition!" as usual, anyone with a nice idea would be welcome.
