Hi Everyone! I wanted to run this kind of Seraphon army, but i wanted to remove the Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur for a Scar-Veteran on Coldone. I also wanted to remove 10 Saurus Knights (2 x 5 actually) to use the 320 points spare for 40 Saurus warriors. Heres the army list, what do you think about it? I'm really New, i'm building my Start Collecting and wanted to prepare my expansion. Its a 2.0 list i got from this tutorial : https://www.lustria-online.com/threads/battletome-2-0-seraphon-overview.24329/ Did i miss something?
Hate to be the bearer of less fortunate news, but Age of Sigmar within the last month or so moved to 3.0, so the point values are out of date. You can find the new point values here. With your list, Lord Kroak went up to 430 points so you might have to adjust your list. Also with Kroak's new model he has a warscroll that is stronger, but it won't be the warscroll/stats that you see in the current tome. Perhaps someone with the new Kroak stats can help you out in case you didn't know. Instead of having each race have unique battalions, all armies choose from a pool of core battalions that all armies can build. you can find those here. Good news is that you get different benefits and you free up enough points for new Kroak. Bad news is that your knights won't be as strong. Here's the new rules: https://ageofsigmar.com/core-rules/ The last major change (as far as your list goes) is the concept of "reinforcements". Namely if you have a unit of 5 saurus knights that's ok, and if you reinforce them to a unit of ten you'll use one of your 4 total reinforcement points. Right now your list uses 3 of your 4 reinforcement points so you are in the clear, but it's something to be aware of. I hope that helps!
Yeah, i did that tutorial... the contents and the tactics are still valid, but there are things that sadly are outdated, and it requires time (that i don't have) to fix it. Not only for the points value, but also the fact that in our battletome there are battalions that actually are no more playable in matched play.
First of, thanks for your answers ! It really helps me, i was really confused its hard to understand everything as a new player. So after a quick look, almost all the units in my list are more expensive now. Anyone have some 2k Koatls Claw list that i can base myself on to modify it? I really love the Seraphon, i really loved Kroq Gar in TWW2, and i wanted to build an army arount him (Oldblood on Carno) with the less skins possible .

I wasn't sure if you just wanted to keep playing 2.0 but yeah, as others have said we moved to 3rd edition now. I'd also recommend checking out Caleb's YT video on koatls claw.

Cool list. I'm a baby Saurus too. I'm concerned that without AB, Kroak you will need to be extra aggressive with Kroak. Being aggressive without Guard is risky. Have you considered dropping one knight unit for guard? Maybe sub Priest for Starpriest and add cogs to make the points work? Priest hangs with Bastiladon to make her work better and or heal ScarVets? Cogs to help a little with charges.
If you're looking to just run kroak as support to generate CP, heal, etc you'd be better off running a normal slann plus a starseer. I'd also recommend cutting a knight unit for guard probably but not necessary if you make the swap to normal slann who can just sit back more defensively. Oldblood carnos are unfortunately just not worth their points over a scarnosaur, especially in KC where their command ability is even more redundant
Thanks a lot ! I wanted to use Kroak as i like his new model a lot! I am gonna do some theorycrafting, i'll send back a new list about tonight. I will try to include a Starseer for sure, an Astrolith Bearer, will remove a unit of knights for a units of guards, and i'll see about replacing Kroak for a regular Slann OR remove one Scar Vet on Carnosaur to have one Carnosaur on Coldone. Lemme just calculate all of this, and i'll be back! Thanks for the patience and advice!!!
