Hello everyone and welcome to my painting log! I'm a slow painter and I have a bad habit of jumping from one project to the next. My goal is to have at least 1500 points of Seraphon fully painted by the end of the year. Here is what I have so far: 10 skinks, 1 Skink Starpriest, 1 Skink Priest, 1 Ripperdactyl Chief, and 3 Ripperdactyls

Close up of my Skinks. I like to use Games Workshop's Contrast paints with edge highlighting and dry brushing when painting my Seraphon.

I love the look of the ripperdactyls. I think they have a so ugly its cute look to them that I love. They have been my favorite minis to paint so far.

With the rippers you of course get a bloat toad! This little guy might be my favorite mini in my army as he always makes for a fun interaction with my opponent when we banter about why the toad is with the unit in their army that I put it with.

Lastly here is a pic of the pair of stegadons that I am currently working on.

Awesome work! I particularly love the work you've done with the Skink's eyes as this takes some very precise painting!

Thank you everyone for all the great feedback! I'm pretty happy with how the army is coming out so far.

Love it !!! What’s your colour combinations for the skinks? If you don’t mind me asking

I'm always happy to share the paints I used. This is how I did each part of the Skinks. Most of the paints I used were GW, I will note when they are not.

PRIMED: Grey Seer spray and than dry brushed with white.

SKIN: one coat of Aethermatic Blue contrast and than a layer highlight with a 50/50 mix of Baharroth Blue / Blue Horror.

SCALES: These were also painted with the Aethermatic Blue when I did the skin because I didn't want to have to be too careful when doing the skin. Over that I put one coat of Akhelian Green contrast. Edge highlighted with a 50/50 mix of Marine Teal / Surf Aqua (Reaper Master Series paints)

HEAD CREST: one coat of Blood Angels Red contrast. Highlight / stripes done with Wild Rider Red.

EYES: one coat of Iyanden Yellow contrast. Black for the eye dots (I use Vallejo's Black, I like it more that Chaos Black)

GOLD: two coats of Rich Gold (Pro Acryl), washed with Agrax Earthshade. Washed with Reikland Fleshshade. Layer of Rich Gold. Edge Highlight with Bright Gold (Pro Acryl)

MOONSTONE: One coat of Terradon Turquois contrast. Dry brushed with Kabalite Green. Dry brushed with Sybarite Green. Very light dry brushed with Gauss Blaster Green.

FEATHERS: one coat of Iyanden Yellow over the whole feather. Gryph Hound Orange contrast at the bottom and Ork Flesh Green at the tip. Light Drybrush with Flash Gits Yellow.

SHIELDS: one coat of Flesh Terror Red contrast. Edge highlight with Wild Rider Red.

Let me know if you have any other questions
