@Lord-Marcus I would rather you didn't spam advertisements for your company on this thread. I created it for discussing new releases from manufacturers, not sharing advertisements from sellers.

Anyway, not related to Lizardmen but related to Warhammer Fantasy, Fireforge have released two different plastic sets of Arabic troops - Berber Infantry and Black Guard:
24 in each box, and useful for not only historical gaming from Dark Ages to Medieval, but also as the infantry for an Araby army, if anyone is planning on using Matthias Eliasson's Araby books, or as alternative multi-part Haradrim for Middle Earth gaming.

    Sure, no problem.

As to the Arabs, they look cool and I will be carrying them.

A swathe of new releases from Mantic are set to arrive in the last few months of this year.

Arriving on Pre-Order to complement the good starting range of Tomb Kings they dropped in the middle of August, a pair of elite Skeleton units - one for Revenants, i.e. Tomb Guard:

And (less useful for Warhammer Fantasy I know, but if you fancy proxying rules for them in friendly games then be my guest) Dead-Eye (literally) Crossbows:

Each of these gives you one of their Skeleton sprues plus resin upgrade parts to turn them into the specified unit. This is particularly handy for the Tomb Guard because the standard Skeleton sprue will also come with the shields that Tomb Guard get as standard in their profile. What with the Skeleton sprue also having hand weapons, the set makes it easy to build 10 Tomb Guard with either weapon option. Also the halberds are a great improvement on the original metal-plastic Hybrid ones, which had weapons with much bulkier heads that would have been too unwieldy to lift. The halberds on these new ones look much more the size of those used by the plastic GW Tomb Guard.

Next up, @Lord-Marcus if you're still into Riftforged Orcs then they now have their own nightmare-inducing Giant model:

And their equivalent of an Orc Warboss on Wyvern:

In December, Mantic plan to reboot their Ogre line, with plastic models that are a huge improvement on their old ones:

The biggest flaw with their current Ogres is that while their torsos are suitably brawny, their hips and legs were stupidly small and scrawny, like an overenthusiastic bodybuilder that focuses on bulking out their upper body with their legs remaining normally-proportioned. The new one shown above certainly seems to correct that flaw, with bulky legs to match his bulky arms - if you'd rather have tough and hench Ogres, as opposed to the corpulent, slobbish GW ones, then this might be something that is worth you watching.

Plus, Sandborne Wyrmriders/Necropolis Knights for Empire of Dust!

I'll be most interested to see what medium these will be in, how much they will be and if there are enough weapon options to make all usable Necropolis Knight builds. Currently the One Page Rules ones are the ones to beat in terms of quality, availability and value for money, and Mantic will have to go a way to beat them.

Also next year Mantic aims to resurrect its Dark Elf line, the Twilight Kin, reinventing them to have a closer allegiance to their batshit-weird Nightstalkers faction:

If you want a Dark Elf army with an aesthetic that's a bit different to GW's, or if you like the Nightstalkers as a faction for Kings of War (and Warhammer Fantasy if you write some fan-made rules) and fancy giving them some traitor-elf assistance, then this will be of interest to you.

I'd like to see how the Sandborne Wyrmriders end up looking. Mainly out of curiousity as I have my NK's already.

Just a note here since I may have gotten a little bit more information as a retailer: the troops they are showing off are resin upgrades for the plastic empire of dust Infantry. So it's a hybrid plastic resin kit

I'm surprised there has been such mixed reception toward the Empire of Dust plastics, not just here but on other sites like DakkaDakka as well. Some people with extremely questionable taste have even claimed they are inferior to the horrible 6th Edition GW Skeletons, which is complete nonsense. Not to mention the complaints at how they have 'too much clothing' when, as soldiers interred in their king's tomb to protect him in the afterlife, they would likely have been buried clad in their uniforms, with weapons and armour ready for use. These aren't some poor peasant sods buried in minimum clothing that has long since rotted away and forced to rise again to serve a malicious Vampire or Necromancer, these are the line infantry of Nehekhara's armies, rising again willingly to serve their king, still clad in the uniforms they would have worn in life.

I honestly think Mantic did a good job on these, and they deserve more respect. Certainly these are the best option for an affordable Tomb Kings army currently on the market, and will remain so unless GW really go to town on making some new plastic Tomb King Skeletons for TOW when they eventually decide to release it (which is unlikely, I think at best they would just re-release the 6th Edition models, at worst they'd make a Forge World resin kit with minimum customisability).

Something I already stated in my announcement post:

Totally didn't see that. I apologize. I will have a response to your points about the empires of dust plastics when I get home from shopping as I would like a couple extra minutes to put something together

Good call, I discovered the news this morning and forgot to post it here.

Certainly a good choice from WGA to accompany their armoured infantry sets still in the pipeline, and it's good to know they still have Dark Ages projects in mind. Something to consider for my Romano British/Welsh army. The shield sprue is particularly enticing, I wonder if they'll sell that separately at some point?

They have also stated on facebook they will sell it seperately.

I'll also have it available, for reference.

Looks like they're following the Mantic route with the faces, which will allow some compatibility with theirs when they are released in the near future. I almost laughed when I saw they had found a way to incorporate these into Death Fields as well. First we had Vikings shrunk to form Squats, now we've got Landsknechts expanded to make Ogres. There's obviously some sort of Q-like power out there in the Death Fields universe that takes delight in treating living humanoids like playdough...

I hope 4th Edition Empire players will be happy with this after making so much fuss about this having to happen, I still can't understand how this could have won that contest where they allowed you to suggest pretty much anything a few years ago, and I'd much rather it had been an interesting Ancients or Dark Ages set that nobody's ever made before (for which there are a lot of subjects still unrepresented in plastic).

Also they're being very tardy with the planned updates to their Release Schedule, are their software developers on holiday or something?
