Was a very odd scale to work at, but I think I got the look fairly decently down.

I think the image files are too big, will have a play around and see if I can make them work.
Cheers, the windows took a long time to work out, that bomma is prolly the best example of the bunch.
Sneaky Ratty edit covering the UE painting ranks he achieved:

Finished painting the sculpted bases on the Thorns of the Briar Queen (so many roses!)

Also finished the unit champion of the Sequitors. I've often botched up attempts to paint faces, I think this time with a little patience and research it has come out a bit more realistic.

Finally, I managed to rush finish four Glaivewraiths over three nights (and far too many washes) in time for the month end.

Now to trying to finish the Garden of Morr, more Glaivewraiths (with scary textured bases), and some character models...
Similar to my comments about the nighthaunt. You have some excellent Metallics work with scales that are aching for a dry brush.View attachment 129612 View attachment 129613
Klaq-Trok painted instead as my own Saurus Old-Blood: Tox of the Darkened Scale

These two are amazing. I love how you've done the blending on the feathers.
IIRC, it was a basecoat of Vallejo Yellow Ochre (913), Evil Sunz Scarlet (Part of me wonders if I used Wild Rider Red instead, but i'm pretty certain it was Evil Sunz) at the base of the feather and Warpstone Green at the tip, a thinned washed of Seraphim Sepia, then re-apply and mix the yellow and red and yellow and green on a wet pallete. For the Priest I blended a little further just to make the feather colouration a little more seamless, so more yellow for the red mix and more yellow for the green mix. Wasn't really a proper wet blend, more subtle-ish transition. These two are amazing. I love how you've done the blending on the feathers.
As a curious slaan, would you be open to sharing your blending method?
