    • Thorgrim is poorly characterised, presented as the typical grudge-bearing Dwarf when he was actually one of the most pragmatic and rational of his kind (and definitely wouldn't have picked a fight with Teclis just for the sake of it), while Karl Franz is nauseating as the self-proclaimed leader of the alliance of Order, when he is just a manling with none of the power, experience or longevity of most of the other representatives there (including other human leaders like Louen Leoncoeur, who wasn't even given a voice role)
    • Great to see Tomb Kings fighting on the Order side as they should be, with the Hierotitan blasting apart the Vampire Coast Corpse Giant and Settra leading his forces against Grom
    • Seeing Lizardmen allying with Wood Elves was fitting as the forces of tropical and temperate forest
    • Oh, and Chaos Dwarfs appearing at the end is good to see. I'm glad for Dawi-Zharr fans everywhere. Here's hoping GW does you justice with a plastic model range soon!

Thorgrim definitely didn't come off very well in that video.

It will be tough to beat those Forge World sculpts. That said, GW plastic would be a huge improvement over Forge World resin.

I complety agree with all your points.
The meeting between the leaders of the Order nations was irking me to no end.
The brief appearance of the chama skink alongside wood elves was great.

I'm guessing Karl is the de-facto leader because the empire is the most naturally inclined to large alliances, both in terms of in-game behaviour/mechanics & in-game lore.

I doubt it, given that the Empire couldn't even form an alliance between its own City-States for much of its history, and is second only to Tilea in terms of backstabbing and internecine squabbling. The script for that video must have been written by an Empire player who worships Franz like he's Sigmar reincarnated (and no, he's not, ignore The End Times rubbish pretending to confirm that).

If I had been given the chance to plan out that video, I would have chosen Teclis as the leader of the alliance (he's easily the most intelligent and experienced individual there, and probably one of the most forward-thinking and willing to plan for the long-term as an immortal seer and sorcerer), with Thorgrim grudgingly agreeing rather than starting a fight ("Even an elgi is right sometimes") and the rest just nodding and agreeing and deferring to the superior races' judgement.

Elves, men, vanilla dwarfs... all lesser races. In the end, the only thing that really matters is the appearance of the Chaos Dwarf. Officially confirmed at long last! Praise Hashut!

Yes, but in between all of the squabbling and backstabbing it is one of the few factions to consistently be eager to trade & (temporary) alliances with nearly everyone else, including non-order factions. They're the most likely to go and initiate a grand allegiance like this. So having the meeting between the leaders be on empire ground, led by empire dignitaries, makes at least some sense. As they're most likely the ones who invited all the leaders to meet up in the first place.

What annoys me about the video though is that the video uses all of the important leaders. It would've worked a lot better if they were nameless diplomats.
A nameless dwarven diplomate being a hothead makes sense, Thorgrim being a hothead does not. Similarly, an empire dignitary leading the meeting and lecturing some nameless elf is fine. But Karl Franz lecturing Teclis is just weird.

The main issue is simply that while elves might be arrogant, and dwarves might hold grudges, the leaders shown are some of the more reasonable individuals and shouldn't be this bad at diplomacy.

Coming two-three months? Usually it doesn't take terribly long once the DLC has actually been teased.

The two people I most frequently disagree with on the forum, and now I find that they are in disagreement with each other. Normally, my stance would simply be the opposite of each of yours, but since you guys are on opposite sides, that would mean that to disagree with one of you, I'd have to agree with the other.

    Paradox!

I MUST find a third option!
