The looming excitement that might be TW warhammer III

The balance is all over the place, especially in the campaign, due to how assymetrical factions are. Especially frustrating if say you first spend a while fighting a faction focused on heavy infantry, then the next faction you fight shows up with an monster focused army and you don't have any good anti-large units yet so you're just getting crushed.

O, and at this point there's simply too many factions to keep them unique. So you get problems like Cathey feeling like a better empire/Bretonnia.

i supposed these were going to be among the problems. The more you expand the game, the more problematic the balance becomes.
Especially when the factions of the starting game are already unbalanced.

O, it's absolutly not surprising. Honestly, TWW III is about as good as you can expect given how diverse the races are.
Plus, the mismatched mechanics between tabletop & TW naturally creates some problems as well (max 20 units, v.s. max 2000 points results in very different armies... expendable units don't work very intuitivly in TWW with persistant armies that build experience but work fine on the tabletop, etc.)

Honestly, the only thing that they've really done badly is how units unlock. Armies end up very unbalanced as you can rush certain elite units while the rest of your army remains underdeveloped (e.g. rushing for heroes, but neglecting your regular troops, or rushing elite infantry but ignoring ranged & cavalry etc.). The process of unlocking new units should've been far smoother. Though again, this has been an issue since like Rome II.

I spare them no excuses. Mark of Chaos could have heroes attached and detached from a regiment. For TWW there is only laziness. If the mods ain't doing it, they aren't bothering.
