Kroak and Vizzik Scour both deserved to be placed way higher. They're both far better than either of the ass Vampire models that were placed higher up the top 5, and Archaon too. Only Be'lakor is decent enough to be any competition to them.

Ushoran definitely didn't deserve the top spot - I certainly wonder if GW's Vampire bias kicked in to nudge him up a few places.

Not a bad model, far from it... but first?
i like more Awlrach the drowner, it's way more unique (and isn't even included in the 20)

    2 things.

    1) Edgy nonsense is always popular, so no wonder that Ushoran ends high. This is further highlighted by there only being 3 "not-monsters" in the list, and even those are on the edgy side of things. Hell they picked the 1 SCE that isn't a literal shiny golden paragon.

And 2) Ushoran is the most recent (or at least one of the most recent..) models in there. That probably gave him a slight boost as well.

You are right (the undeserved popularity of Soulblight is the biggest example of that), doesn't mean I'll understand it though ;).

I certainly think at least Vizzik Scour is newer, as he came out with the Skaven release for 4th, and he only made it to 5th place despite being darker and edgier than your average Skaven model :shifty:

I certainly despair of people's (lack of) taste at times.

Actually watching it right now... for a given meaning of the word watching.

Got the segment about the new Warhammer Quest, with terrible audio. And then 15+ minutes of a technical difficulties card. Thrilling stuff.

Edit: I suppose there is some irony in that it's while they speak of Nurgle that their audio gets infected with issues. XD

As an aside, who was it that predicted plenty of Nurgle outside of Warhammer Quest? Because we have Nurgle. Festus the Leechlord looks suitably disgusting.

    Edit 2: Edit Revenge -

    So, TL;DR -

AoS: Quote-unquote "the biggest Nurgle release since the End Times"
    30k: I forget, I kinda blanked out.
Old World: Cathay Wave 2, this time we have peasants and gunners.
Necromunda: Balthasar Gelt but not really. Also, new Palentine Enforcers types.
40: New Tau hero duo. New Tyranid...
Captain Titus gets a new model, alongside a command staff... Might have to grab because I did so enjoy Space Marine, and I found Titus to be tolerable despite being an Ultrasmurf.
Necron leader to oppose Titus and his effort to reclaim the 500 Worlds of Ultramar.
C'Tan Shard of the Nightbringer. @NIGHTBRINGER will be insufferable now that his namesake has a model... ¬_¬ The only way it could be worse is if GeeDubs suddenly revealed that they created a Chaos Dwarf character also called NIGHTBRINGER! :p

I'll let somebody else grab pictures of everything from WarCom and fill in what I missed. I'm off to bed now :p

Let's not be giving Games Workshop any ideas now.

The C'Tan Shard of the Nightbringer already did have a model... just that it's going to be replaced by the new, more impressive, plastic one ;)

Was pleasantly surprised at how a lot of these new Nurgle models have cut down on the in-your-face body horror, in favour of more creepy disease horror. In particular, I openly like those Pestigors... they'd certainly make fitting Warped Gors for my Beastmen, with their corpulent features and variety of weapons fitting the potential results on their attacks chart nicely. In particular I like the subtle rural/folk horror theme about them, seen on their 'Corn Dolly' standard and rings wrapped around various mutations and hernias, and with some of them carrying pitchforks and threshing flails. Very much conjures the image of them lurching through a rural village, braying chants to the Dark Gods and looting farmsteads of food and makeshift weaponry as they terrorise the inhabitants.

Jolly well called the Cathay Wave 2 . And it makes sense, too, for them to give the army some more variety, when the other TOW factions have so many more units to choose from. Plus the new Arcane Journal will give GW the chance to employ some balance tweaks to the faction's army list while also factoring in the new units.

No complaints there either, a pair of lovely new Necron models! Nice also that the new character is effectively trying to turn Necrons back into the Oldcrons, so that Oldcron fans can no longer complain that they've been ignored and now have a character they can root for :D.

Looks like I've got another set of character rules to write for 6th Edition... though my Dynasty will be keen to target this opponent of Necron independence and freedom of mind and thought on sight.

You did. Credit where credit is due!

I was curious to see how your love of Beastmen and distain for Nurgle would play out. Glad you like them. Something new for your collection?

An interesting narrative. There can't be that many people hanging on to the old lore though.

Never underestimate the "how things used to be was better than how things are now" mentality of portions of fanbases.
