Our last cat Mr Noah would wait outside for me on a bench every afternoon when it was time to come home. He did this by himself. I loved it. I'd drive up and go and sit beside him. We'd have a chat and a tickle. Our two current cats always belong to the other person when they are acting up. The common phrase both my wife and i use: " You know your cat ...."
That is quality time. Reminding us how the outside world is less important than home. You get the head bump and you know you're with family.
