One of the few weaknesses of our space lizards is our lack of a legitimate anvil unit. Now that Cities of Sigmar are ally choices has anyone played around with adding Phoenix Guard into a list to provide this?

I am thinking 20 PGs could really be hard to move as the rest of our units dish out the pain. Thoughts?

Hey man, I think you're spot on in your general assessment of phoenix guard. I haven't personally used them as i've never dabbled too much in allies, but i think it can definitely work. It's a little expensive so you'll want to make sure the rest of your army is making up for the lost output.

Personally i'd look to dropping the knights and finding a way to get a priest in there. Bumping one of your 20 blocks to 30 is pretty necessary IMO. I also think with Kroak, you really get a lot of use out of an astrolith. I think you could drop a starpriest, the burning head and a unit of knights for your astrolith and priest. Could even put the burning head back in if you wanted (think it just fits) or run leaner for the +1 wound triumph bid. Then i'd just run 30/10/ skinks instead of double 20's. One of your units is always going to end up being a screen and one is always going to end up being more of a damage dealer and that way you have just made each of the units better at that specific roll.
