I have my first Meeting Battle on Thursday, I find this Battlemode very interesting, because you have to build your army completely different than in a normal game, with the many units of the Seraphon I find it hard to choose, so far my army looks like this:

Allegiance: Seraphon

Spearhead
Slann Starmaster (260)
10 x Skinks (70)

Main Body
Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160)
10 x Skinks (70)
Bastiladon (280)

Rearguard
? Kroxigor or Ripperdactyl Riders or 10 Saurus Guard or something else ?

Total: 840 / 1000
Extra Command Points: 0
Wounds: 41

I have 160P left, and I thought that I take a Unite Kroxigor or Ripperdactyl Riders which I then teleport to important targets (Heroes, Missionpoints ...), or maybe better 10 Saurus Guard ? what do you think is the better choice?

My main tactic is: quickly collect Summon Points with early Slann to summon Ripperdactyl Riders,
I set up Saurus Astrolith Bearer and Bastiladon so that the Bastiladon can reroll his hit-rolls, and with the Slann I teleport Saurus Astrolith Bearer and Bastiladon to important places.

What do you think ?

Ripperdactyls can be awesome of lack luster in Meeting Engagements. There is about a 50% chance that your Rippers won't be able to place their Bloat Toad.

You can only place the Bloat Toad in your first Hero Phase. Not all Meeting Engagement battleplans start with the same detachment on the field. So if you have your Rippers in the main body, but they don't arrive to end of turn one then you can't place the Bloat Toad. Same for Spearhead or Rear Guard.

So my list now looks like this:

Allegiance: Seraphon

Spearhead
Slann Starmaster (260)
- General
- Trait: Great Rememberer
- Artefact: Coronal Shield
3 x Ripperdactyl Riders (140)

Main Body
Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160)
5 x Saurus Guard (80)
Bastiladon (280)

Rearguard
5 x Saurus Guard (80)

Total: 1000 / 1000
Extra Command Points: 0
Wounds: 40

I've always wanted to use my Saurus Guard ;D
