Hi there. I thought I would make a army blog, just to keep me motivated while I work on my lizardmen.
The entire army will be dipped to speed things up. I only have a few months to get this done, as well as paint my mates TK army.

Starting with the General. The Slann

That Slann skin is just how I want to do mine! It looks really good, how did you do it / what paints did you use?

The slann skin was really simple and it only took about 15-20 mins to do the entire slann (not the throne)

Hes primed with white, so I hit him with a fairly watered down layer of Vallejo Model Color - Blue Violet. This allowed the white to show through, and act as a highlight after the dipping.
The white/yellowish parts was done with Vallejo Model Color - Buff. again, very watered down to allow a tiny bit of the violet color to show through. I used the "The Army Painter Quickshade - Strong Tone" to dip the entire model.

A pic with the models base done..

I'll be posting more pics soon. I just finished my exams, so I should have some more time for painting now ;)

Really nice painting!!! what did you use for the base it looks awesome :)

Just the Citadel Sand and Dead Grass I think it's called. The tiles were made from milliput.

I made a tutorial on the bases somewhere on another forum. I'll see if I can find a link :)

This is all I have at the moment. I'm currently working on a unit of saurus warriors..

I like your work so far :) The purple Slann is pretty sweet!

Cool start, looks good. Consider joining our 24 hour painting challenge this weekend to get a lot done. ;) I look forward to seeing your whole army complete.
