Trying to make a "shooting" army. Anyone had any luck with 2-3 engines? Here's a list I'm toying with...
Slann Starmaster -Great Rememberer, Incandescent Rectrices
Skink Starseer
Engine of the Gods
Engine of the Gods
40 x Skinks -Blowpipes & Star Bucklers
40 x Skinks -Blowpipes & Star Bucklers
10 x Skinks -Blowpipes & Star Bucklers
3 x Razordons
3 x Razordons
Bastiladon - w/snakes
120 points for summoning (More Razors, Salamanders, Chameleons as required)
Potential to drop the skinks down to 3x10 for another Bastiladon but at this stage, I like the numbers for the enemy to wade through, and more shots in the double turn. With an effort, could also shift this into a heavenswatch.
Obviously aim for the double turn but I also like the idea of going for the d6 mortal wounds option. With a slann and starmaster engine rolls should be a little more predictable.
3 Engines could also be quite interesting too as one goes for the double turn while the others target heroes/elites with the d6 mortal wounds. Similar to razors, law of numbers means 3 of them should get you a double turn and potential for 3D6 mortal wounds (albeit unreliable).
Unlikely to be competitive but could be fun. Interested to hear thoughts!
