I have finished about half of the skinks in my Lizardmen army. Completely finished! Painted, based and ready to go! Here is a picture of 66 skinks (the Kroxigors-16 of them are for effect, so are the salamanders in the back)

I still have a lot to paint though. There are probably another 60-80 skinks left to paint (most are about halfway done).

Wow that is a LOT of skinks, good effort! Any chance of some close up shots?

I tried (with my cell phone) but could not get them into focus. I will try again tonight. They are like albino skinks. I primed them gray and white, then painted the details in. Once the details were in, I used a mid tone army dip (painted on them) to finish them out. The bases are sand, crumbled cork, small cat litter, and static grass (the dip and basing was a real pain).

I still need to spray a sealant on them.

wow thats sure is a big pile of skinks.... :jawdrop:

Man your right ....
How could I have missed the 16 Kroxigors..?

hehe...

Started with 5 (from various sources..all used in some for or another), then won 9 more on ebay. Last weekend, I was given the last two. I think I am good on Krox for the time being. Oh, I also was give another salamander and a terradon rider last weekend (cannot wait to field two units of two sallies).

Well, I decided last night to get all unfinished models and pile them on a table and take an inventory. Here is what I have sitting before me to paint (there are some that just need some finishing touches, ie. basing, spot details):

33 Saurus
60 skinks (WHOOPEEE)
10 Temple Guard (need some minor repiars)
1 salamander +3 handlers (thanks Squig, again)
7 terradons (various stages of paint and repair)
2 kroxigor
2 lords (lord Kroak and Tehehuin-whatever his name is)
4 skink heroes
2 stegadons
8 cold ones (without riders :()

There may be some floating around that I missed, but that is the gist of it. Here, Let me put that into perspective for you:
Almost all of it

Also, I promised some close up pictures of the finished skinks. I have played around with the settings on my camera. I hope they turn out well:

Kudo's to you!

Christ. Painting skinks is like, mindnumbing. I would go insane if I had to paint that many D:

Hehe, I have a 3000pt ogre army to paint after that. Then there are some of my son's O&G army, or my other son's Chaos Space marine army.

I'm addicted! I even have my eye on some dwarf pieces to start up a dwarf army.

Wow and to think i was annoyed at having to make and paint an entire battleforce in a month, kudos to you man and i like the paint scheme.

The white skinks took altogether about a month of on and off painting (about an hour every other night-on average). Basing them was a huge pain the butt (and I spilled the last of my static grass all over the carpet at the end-good thing the vacuum sucks :D )

I anticipate the remaining models to take at least until the end of the year to finish (if I stay on track--BIG if).

Thanks to all for your comments.
