8th Ed. A couple quick questions.

I was wondering two things one has to do with the rules of placement of chameleon skinks . And the second thing is may i have 2 groups of temple guard if i take a slaan for one of them.

You can take more than one unit of TG. If there is a slann, you can choose which unit the slann goes into. The slann cannot leave the unit though.

Chameleons:

Deploy them after all other deployments have been made. The deployment of scouts occurs after heroes. This makes it after the normal deployment. Since the deployement in complete before scouts are placed, scouts do not count toward the last unit deployed and the 1+ for finishing deployement first.

Now, when you deploy the scouts, Chameleons can can be placed anywhere on the board as long as they are 12 inches away from any enemy unit.

Cool thanks thats what i thaught for both. Someone told me that chameleon skinks could deploy as close as they wanted to an enemy unit.

In 7th edition, as long as they were hidden (in a forrest, river, or lake) they could. In 8th edition, that was changed to 12 inches anywhere on the board.
