Hi,
Just finished my Bastiladon and thought I would take the opportunity to post my years work (I got back into Games Workshop in Dec 16). I've been away from home quite a bit, but I'm only 8 Saurus Warriors away from a 1000 point army. Poor photos, but it's the thought that counts? Thanks, much appreciated. I'm in denial regarding the new lore so my Seraphon are 'real' and I'm kind of going for a tundra/desert dwelling . Found some Terradons in my stocking so that will be my next project.
 
Happy New Year. Just finnished putting together my Terradons and am waiting for a break in the rain to spray them (probably Feb lol). I've added a picture of my Bastiladon which was completed a few days before Christmas (You can see it at the back of my first post). Again, I appear to be ignoring all the photography advice from December's White Dwarf........20180102_103120.jpg
 
Hey, nice army! I love your bases, they look super realistic. How do you do that?

Thanks very much for the kind words. The bases are as per the GW guide, nothing unique I'm afraid. Base of Agrellian Badland, a wash of Casandora Yellow and a drybrush of Tyrant Skull. I then just added some Mordhiem Turf. Work on my Terradon Riders continues.........slowly!
 
A short but positive tale about GW customer services.........

As you may be aware, the Terradon Riders Box Set comes with 2 small, 2 medium and 1 long flying stand. I decided that I want to put all my Terradons on long stands (they are ment to be flying after all....) but, after a chat with my local GW and looking on line, it appears that you can't buy the long ones other than in the box (or other similar boxes?).

I gave the GW 'help line' a call today and they are posting me 2 and wouldnt take any money for them!

Credit where credit is due..........

I have heard other good stories about them, they really seem to make a good job quite often.
 
Thanks. I'm planning to do something to the top on the wings when I've finished all three; possibly a pattern to make the wings less 'flat' when viewed from above (such as the subtle wavey patterns that I've seen on others). I like the sound of your Rippers colour scheme.
 
A sad weekend for Terradon number two.

Just as I was attaching him to his completed stand he made what only could be described as a bid for freedom and launched himself into the air (I may have dropped it). Unfortunately, as it was his first landing, it was less than successful! (It broke)

I have decided to finish number three whilst glaring at the several pieces of my second............(nothing a little glue won't
Fix)
