yep, 3000 vs 3000, using one of the narrative scenarios made by GW.
Stronghold assault? or something similar. The one with the siege rules.

I was not in favor of it, as up til now i've had only awful gaming experiences with GW's narrative scenarios, but my friends wanted to try it.
It was a fun game for the company, but it was outrageously unbalanced and we called it at T3.

Well, 3000 pts vs 1800 pts; the 1800 pts suffered some MWs for free at the beginning of T1, and the 1200 pts of their reinforcements would have arrived only by rolling 11 with 2d6+the number of battleround. From a random side.

The 1800 pts are wholly deployed first, the 3000 pts are deployed knowing your set-up and get to decide who goes first.


...i've tried to warn them it was a bad idea.

I had a 215 pts battle with my son a couple of weeks ago.
Easterlings (my son) vs Isengard (me)




He had some good turns, but mostly bat luck with rolling to wound.
Also Crossbow are heavy hitters

I won in the end, but we had a great time together
