hey guys!
almost everyone in my gaming group has 2 different armies, so they can choose which army use for every battle. I'd like to have a second army like the others, but i don't know what army collect...
in my group there are dwarfs, chaos warriors, skaven, vampire counts and high elves (and i don't want to have the same army of another player)
i'd like to have an army that is quite different from lizardmen
i was thinking to the empire, but it's very difficult to me to make a list that i like. I also was thinking to the wood elves, but i know they are very fragile and they can't do anything against some armies (ie chaos warriors, ot the empire with the steam tank)
do you have some advices?

Empire is a good choice as they have recently been updated. Wood elves would be a good choices as well (as they will get an udate at some point). However, until they are updated, you will struggle with some of their tactics. Brettonians are another army to consider. They are in need of an update, but I have a friend whom I used to play a lot who could use them in a way to make them a tough army.

Maybe Orcs & Goblins?

Large horde type armies.

Abundance of comical mishaps.

Strong but silly magic. "Hey, can you step on them? That'd be great. Thanks. :smug: "

Spiders and Giants and Trolls, oh my!

Crazy Goblin stuff: Squigs, Doom Divers, Fanatics, etc...

Orc characters can actually be built pretty tough.

Animosity makes them reliably unreliable!

sadly i don't like the O&G models very much... but yes, they are a nice army

Ogres are/were my second army. I absolutely love the way they play.

Whatever you feel like you are missing out on when you are playing Lizardmen, make sure your second army has that?

i'm thinking to dark elves: they have long ranged attacks, high I in close combat, a nice monster (i don't like very much armies with no monsters), wonderful cold ones...
they can have chariots, a thing that lizards can't do, and an interesting magic phase, even if slann is much more better. what do you think?
