In my opinion it was pretty much concluded. Very little was left at the end of the End Times. If everything is brand new (setting, characters, story), then it's safe to assume that Warhammer concluded and Warhammer 2.0 commences. Agreed, we'll be playable, but we won't be getting any support. Agreed that Lizardmen will not be alone in the "squatted" department, but certain armies like Chaos will be in a more advantageous position. I'm thinking that the 3 factions will be merged into one (again).... and receive continued support. If the rumours turn out to be true (key word is "if"), then I'm in the same boat with you. Can't argue with that, even a reliable rumour is far from official news. Hahaha... good luck. I don't think anyone will ever catch n810 in terms of posts.
This would be completely awesome! Rejoice, for all he prophecies are fulfilled and the Old Ones have returned! It would explain a lot, this is one of the first things that have dropped that have made me look forward even more to 9E.
I don't know, the fact that it seems as we won't be given any new updates is kind of sad. That means no new cool dinosaurs, for like, well ever.... However as many people already pointed out, these are only rumors. Rumors that of course could ha ve some potential truth, but before we here anything from the source, we don't actually know anything. (I'm still counting on my bet with the carnosaur riders, and super skinks. Skinks from Krypton! ... But then again, they would be weak to magic.....Just the carnosaur cavalry then, just them)
Exactly, it would be a crying shame if GW actually decides to go down this path. I really hope the rumours are untrue, but I'm also fearful at the same time. The odds look stacked against us at the moment.
The best thing we can do is start writing our own rule set. A bunch of wargamers who like reptile models making up their own rules who would like new and interesting models or model kits. Maybe they'll decide to offer us models maybe they won't. FTFY There is at least one other miniatures company that makes dinosaur/reptilian models. If GW decides to bow out then it will be time to tell them, "Goodbye and thanks for all the fish ...lizards".
That's true, but for all the things I don't like about GW, I have to admit that they produce the best quality miniatures (not counting forge world).
I have two (unsolicited) thoughts right now: 1) "No support," while sad, isn't necessarily the same as "no support, forever." I could see, if WFB9E (or whatever it's called) sells really well, then GW might thrown in "expansion"-type products for Lizardmen. This assumes GW thinks like a normal company, which, well, is a big "if" since they're more secretive than the military. 2) Though I've painted most of my army, I haven't actually painted any of the bases, except for incidental primer spray, so... I'm a little less miffed about the specter of round bases than I might be otherwise ...and a bonus unsolicited thought... 3) This thing about replacing WFB products on the shelves with Age of Sigmar posters is duplicitous and frustrating. They'll still sell you 8E stuff on the webstore (where there's no mention of AoS anywhere), and supposedly in the stores if you ask for it. If you're really phasing out 8E, at least tell people in plain words so they'll know the things they're buying will be obsolete later this year? And if you're not, then why do this? Honesty and fair dealing (IMHO) creates repeat customers. This... will not. Jaded penguin is jaded: EDIT: Jaded penguin is a Saurus now!!! Woohoo!!
Yeah I was in my local gw today and all army books were off sale. They had to go to the storeroom to get my new Lizardmen book. All age of sigmar posters in there place.
These rumor-mongers: http://natfka.blogspot.com/2015/06/age-of-sigmar-new-game-with-much-of-old.html ...appear to have gotten that part right (it is dated June 3rd).
