Being an archer myself I wasn't quite happy with the Kurnoth Hunter's bow, there was just something missing.

...so I added a bowstring made out of sisal (a single fiber, painted blue).

 

I like the shape of the little Slann figurine and the coin from the Lizardmen Blood Bowl team kit, I think they would look great on terrain pieces or bases.

So I went ahead and used Oyumaru to make two molds of the coin and one of the Slann (all of them front side only).

I then filled them with Stewalin and the result looks promising (for a first try).

I might try and make a silicone mold from the Slann to have the full statue, but for decorating a pyramid wall this will do.

Of course the shape isn't perfect, and thin parts like the Slann's arms tend to break off.
The latter can easily be fixed with superglue though, and I am pretty sure that if I paint it like stone it will look cool on ruins.

 

I painted one using my usual stone recipe.
Could probably use another highlight but I think this will work well.

 

1. Prime black (white worls as well but make sure you have no holes because they are more visible)
2. Base color middle grey
3. Shade black
4. Drybrush light grey.
5. Shade sepia or brown and add a few splotches of green shade for mossy spots.
6. Optional: another careful drybrush with a light grey.

 

Yesterday was my fifth hobby anniversary!
Not much done work lately, but in celebration of that day here are a few WIP pics of my current projects.

 

Here are some shots of my finished Blood Bowl Lizardmen team. I put grass on the bases and painted white lines on it to make it look more like a playing field.

I knew I painted them a bit lazily, but the Contrast paints did a decent job hiding a part of that.



Just for fun I put them on the pitch vs. my human team, for some game scenes.
