Alternate model for salamanders

I'm looking at Daemons of Chaos' Flesh Hounds of Khorne. You get 5 monsters instead of the 1. Just get 40mm x 40mm base, modify a bit and you have 5 salamanders!

Good idea or not?

I did the same thing with older versions of flesh hounds. I reckon it's a great plan! Add a plasticard sail on its back and you are good to go!

i use kroot hounds (from the 40k range) with tails made from GS. you can see pics in my signature.

Cool ideas. I actually got my 3 Salamanders when a good friend of mine was going to Hong Kong, not sure if it's still the case but back then miniatures were significantly cheaper so I got the 3 Salamanders for not much more than the price of 1 if I'd bought it out here.
