Just a couple of clarifications on some rules:

1) The Stegadon cannot march & shoot with the giant bow or the giant blowpipes
2) The crew cannot throw javelins if the Stegadon marched (as they are not skirmishers)
3) I've seen a lot that there is no multiple shots -1 modifier for the giant blowpipes. Is this true?
4) In the case of initiative tests (such as Purple Sun), you use the Stegadon's initiative

From my understanding of the rules, all of these are correct, but can someone confirm this? Thank you!

the only one I disagree with is #4, whenever testing for a characteristic test the highest stat is used, so you would use the skinks initiative for purple sun.

Q. For characteristic tests, is the best value in the unit always used?
(p10)
A. If the unit is required to take a characteristic test, the best
value in the unit is used. If every model in a unit is required to
take a characteristic test, then each model uses its own best
value instead.

What makes me think that #4 is true is the howdah Crew rule on pg. 45 that says to treat the crew and stegadon as a single model and all attacks are resolved against the stegadon's characteristics. But based on your quote, I would agree that the skink's initiative would be used in this case.

I'm not aware of any exclusion for the Multiple Shots penalty. Sadly.

1) Agreed.
2) Agreed.
3) The -1 to-hit modifier applies when shooting multiple shots with the Giant Blowpipes.
4) Use the highest initiative for the characteristic test, so use the skink's!

If I shoot with the Giant blowpipe, can I shoot with the 3 skinks left (using javelins)?

Giant blowpipe has 2d6, so... multiples has 4d6 attacks?

sure, if they are in range.

Yes and yes.

Note that due to penalties for range, multi-shot and either movement or stand-and-shoot you will often be hitting on a 7+ and won't get the benefit of poison

Not sure if this is what you meant Amrod, but the blowpipes doesn't fire 4d6 attacks each.

Nowhere does the Giant Blowpipe rules state that they shoot 2D6 as default.
That would mean that if I choose not to fire multiple shots, the Stegadon will only fire 2 S3 shots (1 for each blowpipe)

Correct?

Without multiple: 1S3 shot per blowpipe ( 2 in total)
With mutiple: 2D6 per blowpipe (4d6 IN TOTAL, not per pipe)
