Ever the tireless hero But that said, I was working on a build using the Tehenahuin model. What do you guys think? Prophet of Sotek: Skink Ancestry: 4 DP Dagger of Sotek (sword): 1 DP Celestial Serpents: (Handbow): 1 DP Mage Archetype: Curse of Damnation Spell (1d3 MWs and -1 to saves for an enemy unit within 12" Archmage: 3 DP Extra Armor x2: 4 DP Ethereal: 4 DP 17 DP, 170 points for matched play. My big question is, do Anvil heroes have access to faction lore spells? Because I feel like this hero could do very well as a support if he could also take Hand of Glory. Then, you could buff troops and debuff enemies. Put him on a Balewind Vortex for 2 casts and he can debuff an enemy unit and buff a friendly Skink or Saurus blob for maximum destruction to whatever unit they're attacking.
ya sorry about not having anything yet real life has been punching me in the face. that and i am now convinced that GW has no idea what they are doing with points. i have the start of the most problem-some abilities like ethereal but im still balancing it against the rest. for reference Ethereal base 10 points (normal points no need to make a separate system for it) if wounds are more then 10 add +10 if save is 3+ add 20 yes that seems cheep but monsters need it and i don't be-leave ethereal is as dangerous as people think
Interesting idea, I look forward to seeing what you end up with. What do you think about that hero I just made?
i would drop the extra armor to make him cheaper but over all he looks good. also yes you can take faction spells
I'd drop the dagger it only has 4 wounds so you're not going to be sending it into combat anyway. Even with ethereal and a 4+ save. Just take the free melee weapon. You can use the free point to get the regular bow, or just have a cheaper hero. I honestly don't understand why GW didn't give us scaling costs like this. It's such an obvious part of balancing. At least it explains why point costs tend to be so inconsistent..
