Gold is done for the most part and I went with the regular metallics as I think that more suits the style of the lizardmen. Just some metal to finish up now, links on the chains etc, the inside of the mouth and the base of course/
Wow! I love the way you highlighted the gold bits with Silver. Or at least I think that's what it is. I do agree with Laxoloatl, I personally think the red's a bit bright, but that doesn't take away from your painting skills. Edit: I looked back and the red seems darker in the second series of pictures, looks good.
Thanks for the comments! I appreciate them all. I will post the final pics this week. I'm just working on the base now.
Marvellous paint job sir! That bone effect and the blending of the red is...well...wow. I have to ask though - I've been thinking of getting this model to use for Gor-Rok, but how does he match up looks-wise to the rest of the army? I don't mean size, but general appearance and facial structure in particular...with that elongated jaw he reminds me more of a Kroxigor than a Saurus. Could I be incredibly, unbelievably cheeky and ask you vewwy vewwy nicely to post a picture of him in with a ranked up unit for general impression comparison? Thank you!
ladyrheena, I will get that done for you by the weekend. The model is definitely different from the GW ones both in the facial structure and is much more bulky. Its almost twice as broad in the chest as say they Chakax model is. That said I do think it still fits in with the ranked up GW models.
Allthough I like the AoW Lizardmen hero, I find it more suitable to be a Kroxigor, heck, armed with its great weapon, it could easily pass as Nakai the Wanderer..
