Contest April-May 2017 Short Story Contest

Sorry about the delayed response. State testing with work, coaching, my own writing, and a number of other excuses have reared their ugly heads. I might not get in on this one, but I'll try. Looking forward to reading some good stories!
 
We have four entries so far and lots of time for more entries, keep up the good work, but read and vote in the poetry contest if you haven't done so yet.
 
Looking forward to try and pull something together for this, gotta get back in the swing o things!
 
Huh, forgot about this. Hmm.

Will try and bash something out. No reviews though. :P

Less than a week away! Looking forward to see what everyone came up with! Definitely looking forward to the kast minute bash outs, wonder if I can even pick them out.
 
I know it's already getting late, but I might just have a stab at it this weekend. Probably something short and simple, unlike the more ambitious fiction I've written for 40k on other forums.

Would have entered earlier, but I'm new to these parts and had not noticed this thread.

1-2 days (?) to the end of submission phase, and no proofreadings from Scalenex this time. Life happens, I suppose. ;)
Well, this means we'll start on equal level! :p
 
6 so far, I'm behind on proofreading. I'll try to buckle down tonight. At least for our two first time entrants
 
I wish I started editing sooner for some back and forth. We got some awesome stories, but the diamonds must be cut and polished before display.

The deadline remains the same (22 hours 9 minutes from this posting) but it may take a day or too to finish the collaborative edits on what we have. Bowser and Bob always require very little editing and @Y'ttar Scaletail 's work is always so well polished it's almost too perfect. As if he's concerned a tiny flaw would reveal his true self. Maybe that's unfair pressure flagging him as he has not entered a piece but the honorable skink-thing's submissions usually are at the last minute, and he said he'd try to write something. After all, we can trust his word right?

Anyway, the new blood we got is pretty impressive, and I want their artistry displayed properly.

But really, if you're short on time, don't worry unless you notice some grammar error or other mistakes...

What is the deadline?

I have a total redraft in mind for my stupidly-submitted-too-early entry.
