At the top of the page is the option "inbox", click on that, select "start new conversation", but in "Scalenex" without the @ symbol and you can then start the private chat.

I usually don't break out Sesame street till we hit 5.

5 is the lowest we ever gotten in a contest (and we hit this marker several times) but quality beats quantity and we got quality entries thus far, so I don't mind.

I'm guessing we'll end up with 6 or 7 this contest. Of course if we get more I'll be delighted.

I am extending the deadline 48 hours to midnight May 2nd. It has nothing to do with the number of entries which is adequate.

My Covid job bounces between morning shifts and night shifts

Since I have to get up early on May 1st, I do not want to stay up late the night before. Ergo, I move deadline.

But if the extra 48 hours lets one or two more people submit something, so much the better. I'll try to get some proofreads on the six I have in the next 48 hours or so.

That's pretty normal. At least for me at least 2/3 of the time.
