I have just read, online, that a saurus warriors armous save can never be less than 6. I have never read this in my book so is this an old rule or is the guy wrong?? Or do you think he is regarding to a parry save?

I have read further and there is loads of stuff in there I don't recognise so I assume it's old rules!
 
I would assume he is refearing to the ward save from parry. In 5th edition the lizardmen scaly skin save bonus (which all skinks had as well) could never ever be lower than a 6+, but thats like 10-15 years ago.
 
On another note, that rule is still in effect for any Mordheim games. It also applies to skinks in Mordheim.
 
Ah, the good old days, when every model had a 6+ ward save, when Salamanders were strength 4 d3 wounds and ignored armour saves, and a Slann Mage Lord of 550 points had WS6 STR6 T5 W8 I6 A8 4++ and could carry a magic weapon...
 
I want that slann in my army!

Haha yeah good old hero hammer, when Frenzy doubled your attacks and chaos lords could reach 20+ high S attacks and fighter lords could easily solo infantry units. Emperor Dragons had 9 in pretty much every stat and almost every army could take them <3.
 
oooh good old days, killing dragons with slann and flaming sword of ruin :$:$
