Thanks, I wanted to do something different, and figured I might as well use some of the many oracles I had for something else.
One thing I didn't think about when making it, the same goes for the Carnosaur, is that it will be hard to transport it.

Many thanks, I dove a little deeper into it than what I have previously, and I'm still relatively new to not just using something like pre-made gravel or bushes, but I'm liking the results, and I think it goes quite well with the models color scheme; even if it is not the best for emphasizing them, but I think it suits as Lizardmen are are fairly natural creatures (does not really wear clothes) and so would benefit from blending into the environment a bit.

Well, GW owns the copyright to Warhammer and CA are using it under licence so I wonder if we might see official woogity designs in the new Seraphon models when they are released, I say when with optimism in my heart ............................

That would be amazing, I hope it really is just a question of when and your optimism pays off. In general I would like some new models, and anything from Woogity would just be icing on the cake

    Really great work!

I really like your skinks, especially how you have done the stripes. :artist:

And I really like the Tetto’eko conversion you did, nice and simple but works great!

I know it's some time ago that you wrote this, I just wanted to point out that neveroddoreven's skinks were the inspiration for the stripes.

@ASSASSIN_NR_1 would you mind if I ask for the recipie of that creamy skin tone? (and would you object if someone else were to use it for their own?)

I wouldn't mind at all and not object in the least either :D

In the case of my latest models I've used the 'Skeleton Bone' primer from Army Painter just to make it easier, but otherwise I've just used the 'Pale Sand' color from Vallejo.

All you do is basecoat with 'Pale Sand' (other bone-colors can be used). Then you apply a brown shade, I use 'Mid Brown' from Army Painter but others will work too, I believe I initially used 'Eartshade'.
Now you go back to 'Pale Sand' and drybrush and use it for highlights.
As a last touch I often add some 'Silvergrey' (also from Vallejo) for the very brightest highligts.

I hope that is written well enough, otherwise feel free to ask again.

Do you have anything specific in mind, where you want this skintone, cause you've made me curious?

That is fantastic I really appreciate that! To be completely honest I am struggling with my own right now and have become utterly inspired after seeing yours.

I think I'd quite like to give that a try, but maybe take a different direction for the weapons, shields and metalics.

    Thank you.

Happy to hear that :) I'm glad the mistakes I made i probably not too obvious then :p

I'll do what I can :), I have a Troglodon right around the corner, I just need to finish the base and finally coat him with a matt varnish.

    Hey @ASSASSIN_NR_1

So I now have all 3 paints with a 'Pale Sand' base coat on 2 Saurus right now :) I would just like to ask if you thinned down the mid brown at all or painted it straight on? It's a first time for me using Vallejo or AP with the first thing I notice being that 'Mid Brown' is a little more "Syrup-like" in consistency when compared to GW shades. Either way, do you just lather it all on then drybrush when dry?

    Thanks again buddy!

It depends on how much contrast you want; Usually though I do just apply it as it is. Same procedure as the GW shades really, so don't get too much on at once.
I will say that I find the consistency of paints and shades varies a bit from bottle to bottle or pot to pot (regardless of which company they are from), so I can't say for certain whether you would benefit from thinning it a bit.

If you want to be certain it is not too thick, just thin it down and check if you find it dark enough when dry, if not, you can always apply a second coat. When dry it is as you say: Drybrush ;)

It's also only been a 10 year transition to get to this point :p

I guess I have a soft spot for those three colors :D

I finally got around to taking some pictures of the Troglodon and I threw Kroq-Gar in here as well since he was finished, since I figured it would be impolite to not show the great greatness (seriously I love his fluff) of him off too.
Furthermore I have painted my Dread Saurian, so take a Look at that. It is not finished however so bare with me holding him, since I don't have a base for him just yet.

Note: This batch of pictures were taken outside instead of in my homemade lightbox, since it's not very good tbh.
